It’s Christmas! A time for giving, of course. (Although here at Your Donation we’re incredibly fortunate that you give your pre-loved items so generously all year round.)

But it’s also a good time to reflect on the year that’s nearly over and look forward to the one ahead. We’ve done that with our A to Z of Christmas, with a distinctly Your Donation slant!

A is for Advent – It signifies not only the start of the festive season but also the arrival of something notable… like a Your Donation bag on your door mat.

B is for Boot Out Breast Cancer and the British Forces Foundation – Two fantastic charities that we’re proud to support! (If you’d like to donate directly just click here or here.)

C is for Clothes – Yours, we hope! Please carry on giving us your pre-loved clothes and textiles in 2019, helping us raise funds for our partner charities and preserve the planet’s resources.

D is for Donations – We love nothing more than collecting our bags full of your pre-loved items, most of which find new homes in Europe, Asia or Africa.

E is for Environment – When you give us your pre-loved clothes and textiles you’ll help reduce their environmental impact on our beautiful planet.

F is for the Fire Fighters Charity – supporting the everyday heroes of the UK fire community, this is an incredible charity. Just click here to donate directly.

G is for Grand Total – this year, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve raised a whopping £53,211 for our inspirational partner charities… it’s a fabulous amount but wouldn’t it be incredible if we could top it in 2019?

H is for Heart – The Your Donation heart, to be precise. We’re incredibly proud to display it on your sleeves (and other items of clothing, naturally!)

I is for Innovation – We’re constantly looking for new ways to help raise additional funds for our partner charities… Ideas which we’re hoping to implement in the very near future include textile and bra banks.

J is for Jolly – ‘Tis the season for it, after all… we hope you’re full of Christmas cheer and good spirit.

K is for Kindness – You can’t get enough of it at this time of year. But we rely on yours all year round to help us raise money and recycle all your pre-loved items.

L is for Local – That’s the kind of service we deliver… in fact, better than that, we collect straight for your doorstep.

M is for Making A Difference – That’s what you do every time you donate your clothes to us.

N is for New Year – There’s something exciting and magical about a new year… fresh and crisp and waiting to be filled.

O is for Oh I Wish It Could be Christmas Every Day – Just because the list wouldn’t be complete without a Christmas song in there.

P is for Proceeds – Did you know that we give a minimum of £100 per tonne of clothing we collect to our partner charities? That equates to around 82%.

Q is for Questions – Specifically, yours. We love answering them so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to know more about our service.

R is for Recycle – Giving us your pre-loved items doesn’t just help our charities… it also recycles them, meaning that someone else gets to enjoy them and they don’t end up as landfill.

V is for Van – Look out for the Your Donation vans coming to your street in 2019 to collect all those no-longer-wanted items of clothing.

X is for X-ray – That’s the level of scrutiny that we like to apply to our processes and procedures, to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible at all times.

Y is for You, of course – And we’d like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s gone to the time and effort of donating their pre-loved items in 2018. Keep it up next year.

Z is ZZZZZZZ – It’s been a busy year, so eat, drink and be merry but don’t forget to indulge in plenty of Christmas slumber! We’ll see you on the other side in 2019!
